It startet as a solo project. The lonesome
Dragstripper appeared in the year 2000 on stages all
over Germany with a guitar, lots of hair grease and
a bottle of whisky. He played Rock´n´ Roll classics
with the power of Punkrock and his own songs about
drag racing an women. Since his childhood the
lonesome Dragstripper is very interested in the
international Drag Race Scene witch is a big part of
his life.
So his personal vision is to kick ass with top fuel,
burning Rock´n´Roll. 2002 it all comes together and
Mr Goldfinger on drums and Carl Lee Kay on stand up
bass (also plying with up to Vegas and played with
Shark Soup and the Flames) joined in and The
lonesome Dragstrippers were born.
It is a great mixture of Rock, Psychobilly, Rock´n´Roll and Country. In the beginning of 2003 the band
entered the Custom Recording Studio to record a 6
track EP with the title Pro Modi-fied. End of 2003
Part Records released the Pro Modified EP all over
Europe, USA and Japan.
The guys already played awesome gigs all over Europe
with Nashville Pussy, Peter Pan Speed Rock and The
Bones. Also with bands like the Meteors and the Long
Tall Texans witch describes their versatility and
the qualities of this unique and powerful Rock n
Roll Trio.
One of the highlights was a headliner show at the
legendary NitrolympXX in Germany which is the
biggest Drag Race Event in our country. After that
The lonesome Dragstrippers appeared on TV with their
music for a report about the NitrolympXX.
In January 2011 Mr Hamburg Siddi plays the drums and
the band seems to be perfect. The lonesome
Dragstrippers are in the studio again to record the
first Longplayer. The band is already booked for the
legendary Stanic Stomp in Speyer Germany with Slim
Jim Phantom (Stray Cats), Batmobile and Mad Sin,
Nekromantix and The Reverend Horton Heat.
